About KAZZK and Sandra

Hello! My name is Sandra Kahindi and I am a registered hearing aid audiologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the British Society of Audiology (BSHAA). For your peace of mind, I am also DBS checked.

I am passionate about providing safe and effective ear wax removal, using microsuction, irrigation, and manual techniques—always choosing the method that is best for you.

Clinic appoints are available at the Swindon Health Centre Pharmacy. However, if you are housebound or find it difficult to leave your home, I offer a reliable mobile ear wax removal service for anyone who needs it.

Clinic ear wax removal is a £55 flat rate fee.

Home Visit Appointments are £80 If there is no wax present there is a £35 consultation fee for the home visit.

Sometimes, ear wax removal may take more than one attempt. If I need to return because it was not possible/safe to remove the wax at the first appointment, then there will be no extra charge. This applies to clinic ear wax removal too. In rare cases where removal is not possible, I will advise you on the next steps for your care.

Preparing for your visit

  • A medical questionnaire will be completed to ensure you are a suitable candidate for the service.

  • To ensure a comfortable ear wax removal experience, we recommend using an ear wax softener such as Earol (olive oil ear spray), once daily for five days before your appointment. This softens the wax and aids in easier removal.

  • If you have a known or suspected eardrum perforation, or if you have been advised by a healthcare professional not to use ear drops, then please do not use these products.

Clinic and Mobile Ear Wax Removal Services

After completing a case history and carefully completing an examination of your ears and video otoscopy, one of the following procedures will be used to remove the ear wax in your ear.

MICROSUCTION:

A thin suction probe is gently inserted into the ear canal and the wax is removed using gentle suction. This procedure is completed under head loupe magnification.

IRRIGATION:

Water is gently flushed into the ear canal using an electronic irrigator, this is directed along the ear canal wall, not straight at the eardrum. Wax loosens and flows out with the water.

MANUAL:

Small, sterile instruments (e.g. curette, hook, forceps) are gently used to lift or scoop out the wax. This is completed under head loupe magnification.

In some situations, ear wax removal may not be a suitable. In this case, I will explain to you why and support you with the next steps.

Images will be taken before and after the service is completed and stored safely.
